Outdoor activities

Thursday 8.6.2023 10.00–17.00

Location: Chlum/Alkazar (32 km from the congress venue, 40 minutes drive)

Activities:  There will be morning and afternoon activities, the same for both times. Each participant can choose two activities – one for morning and one for the afternoon. This gives an opportunity for at least one activity for those who arrive later (for lunch/after lunch).

 Lunch will be in between the blocks of activities, together: grilled lunch outdoors.

1. Speleology

Practical workshop on speleology techniques, including rescue techniques in the famous caves of Bohemian Karst with a skilled speleologist. All equipment needed will be provided to the participants.

2. Rescue techniques in rock climbing

Presentation and practice of comrade and self-rescue techniques by certified UIAGM mountain guide Karel Kriz. Following the workshop, participants can climb some of the bolted climbing routes, climbing equipment will be available.

3. Karlstejn castle

An easy walk along a river (5.6 km, 70 min walk), castle visit (available commented visit in English).
